Election Day
One question that always seems to come up around this time of year is, “Why isn’t Election Day a national holiday?” That’s a good question actually. Most people, unless they’ve taken time off, will be working on Election Day. This means a majority of the population aren’t casting their votes and making their voices heard. While the Federal Government doesn’t recognize this day as a national holidays, many state governments, companies and even unions provide a way for workers to take time off work to vote. Do you think this should be made a national holiday? Is work stopping you from casting your vote tomorrow?
